Steam: All controllers should be supported, thanks to neat controller mapping features from Steam. We've tested with Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, Switch Pro, Steam controllers and generic gamepads.

DRM-Free: Xbox One, Xbox 360 and generic gamepads are supported. If you only have PS4 controllers, you can run a free application called Input Mapper before starting the game, your computer should pick up the controllers correctly. The download is only 8mb and can be downloaded here: https://inputmapper.com/.

Negative. Our plan with Brief Battles is to create a fantastic couch gaming experience. We do have single player and co-op content!

Steam has a neat controller handling feature, but from time to time the feature can mess up the order of your characters in game or cause other minor controller issues.

Cause: If you experience any issues like this, it's usually caused by plugging in extra game controllers while the game is already running. Don't be afraid to plug in extra controllers while the game is already running though, this issue is quite rare.

✅ Solution: A quick fix can be to close and reopen the game, but if that doesn't resolve your issues, closing and re-opening Steam will do the trick!
